Join us for our rehearsals for our main show of the year, Princess Ida, taking place on Thursdays at 6pm, in the KCL Strand Campus.
We are always on the look-out for orchestral players to join our pit orchestra and people to help out backstage!
Email us via the contact form on our website HERE to find out more on how you can be involved!
While we certainly believe in working hard to get our shows from page to stage, we also believe in playing hard, and our social calendar is always bulging at the seams. From weekly pub trips after rehearsals, to our spectacular summer ball, there’s always something fun going on!
Although we are a King’s College London society, you don’t have to be a King’s student to join us. As the only student run Gilbert and Sullivan society in London, we get students from all over the city performing in our shows. In fact, you don’t even have to be a student at all! Our cast, orchestra and production team are generally made up of quite a mix of student and associate members, which really is what makes our eclectic group so fun to be a part of.
Rehearsals are held every Thursday 6pm-9pm at The Strand Campus. We will also be rehearing additional Sunday’s as necessary (though not regularly) and may call additional rehearsals for featured and principal performers on other days.
Please do feel free to come along to any of our rehearsals and join in!
We are always looking for people to join our fabulous chorus. The chorus for all of our shows and concerts is open to all, no need to audition. Just come along to a rehearsal!
Membership for the entire academic year is only £10. We don’t charge individual show fees* on top of this, so this is all you’ll be expected to fork out for the pleasure of prancing around on stage with us. Not only does the membership fee cover essential insurance costs, but it also gives you access to wonderful society discounts for our regular events and socials, plus other bits and bobs such as society hoodies.
Current King’s students can sign up online here
Non-King’s members, contact us directly here.
* although we do not charge a show fee, we do not provide personal transportation to the Festival in Harrogate. The Society does, however, offer subsidised group accommodation for the time we are there.
